Meet Our Two New Arrivals - 'Mini Me & Chook'

The Bird Show Crew has recently added a touch of comedy to our shows in the Animal Planet Crocoseum which involves an audition from a bird enthusiast and participation from lucky audience members. Now for those of you who may not have seen the new show, don't worry I won't spoil the ending for you.

The stars of this segment are our 'first class rare pedigree' pigeons who with months of formal training perform a routine that's never before been seen at any other zoo in the world. Our handpicked audience members enjoy a once in a life time experience... that's if all goes to plan.

We have 7 spectacular pigeons and our main reproducers are Mufassa & Ebony, a devoted couple who recently became parents for the 2nd time (in just as many months) to baby 'Mini Me' - who is identical to his Dad (grey, black & white), and baby 'Chook' (pure white). They came into the world on the 11th August 2007 and spent their first day out of the nest on the 23rd August 2007. They certainly are fine specimens and are growing up very quickly.

It won't be long before they join their parents and siblings in our breathtaking show performed twice daily right here at Australia Zoo. If you want to be a part of this unique and one-of-a-kind event, be prepared to laugh at yourselves and get your cameras ready. See You There!!
