Wet wet wet!

Hello again and welcome to another edition of elephant diaries. Holidays are well and truly here and our Summer Down Under concert series has been a huge success, drawing big crowds to the Zoo. The rain over the past three weeks has been relentless and though we do need it, there comes a point where enough is enough. The elephant yard really needs a chance to dry out, not that our elephants are complaining. They just love the mud!

Despite bad weather, we have had a great holiday period with plenty of visitors braving the rain. The elephant demos have been jam packed with people and the elephants continue to entertain day in day out. They are great! The ‘Zoo Keeper for a Day’ kids program has been fantastic with all the young animal enthusiasts helping clean the elephant enclosure and feed our amazing girls.
