The Australiana Shop is located in the heart of the Zoo, stocking an extensive range of Australian-made souvenirs. Featured strongly are authentic indigenous products both carved and hand-painted locally, beautiful hand-painted scarves and table cloths that are perfect for a gift, or a reminder of true artistry.
A bit of cowboy racing through your veins? Your Akubra hat and oilskin jacket awaits you. There are few things more true blue than the beautiful Opal, and we have them set in earrings, pendants and bracelets. Looking for loose pieces of opal? We have those too!
There are t-shirts available in sizes for adults and children with the range consisting of kangaroos, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, wombats, koalas and tigers. The plush toy section is a sight that would send any child into a frenzy - toys, toys everywhere! So drop by and pay us a visit at the Australiana Shop where smiling, helpful staff will be only too happy to assist you in finding the perfect gift.
Ashlee joined our team in December 2010 as a school based trainee studying her Certificate III in Retail. Ashlee completed her traineeship in November 2012 and was offered ongoing employment within our Crocoseum Shop. She continues to be a valued member of their department and has worked her way to the Store's 2IC.
Ashlee loves working at Australia Zoo because of the great atmosphere, our friendly staff and she also loves meeting new people.
Ashlee loves Tigers and can be found visiting our Tiger Temple during her breaks.
Shae joined the Australia Zoo Retail Crew in April 2010. Shae loves working at Australia Zoo with all the amazing animals and dedicated staff.
Some of the amazing encounters Shae has done at the Zoo are with Dingoes, Rhino, Lemur, Red Panda, Tassie devil, Wombat and Tiger, and has loved every one of them!!
Shae’s favourite animals ever since she was a child are the Tigers. In her spare time, Shae enjoys reading, climbing mountains and playing with her pet dog.
Connor started with Australia Zoo doing a traineeship, within the Retail Department in Dec 2010, while still at School. The Andean Condor “Chief” is Connor’s favourite animal, because of his majestic size and power.
Connor has done a Tiger experience while working at the Zoo and thought it was really cool.
Connor is completing a Bachelor of Game Design outside of the Zoo and is loving the art side of it.
Having being at the Zoo since 2003, Sarah has worked in a few departments in her time. From snappin' photos of guests with our animals to helping guests choose the best Australian made souvenir in the Australiana shop. At work Sarah exchanges the kids for animals and is usually found in our Australiana Shop.
Bree joined our Australiana crew in 2012, who are responsible for running our Elephantasia shop, Tiger Cart & Africa Cart. Bree completed a traineeship with a Certificate III in Business with the Zoo in 2014.
Emily started with the Zoo Crew in Dec 2014. You can find Emily working in one of our retail shops throughout the Zoo."Being surrounded by animals everyday and a great team spirit, meeting guests from all over the world, makes working in customer service a pleasure."
Outside of the Zoo Emily likes to spend time with her family, friends, and pets.
Eddie has completed a School Based Traineeship while working in our Croc Lair Shop. He is now in our Australiana Shop.
Morgan joined the Zoo Crew in Jan 2016. Morgan will help you decide on a great Australian made product to take home with you from our Australiana Shop.
Kiah joined the Zoo Crew in Jan 2016. Having a love for all animals the Otters are her favourite because "of their smart, fun, cheeky personalities."
Outside of the Zoo Kiah enjoys watching the brisbane Broncos play and going to the beach.
